Cleveland Utilities is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to construct and maintain our electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform all maintenance, construction and repair of electrical distribution and transmission systems, both overhead and underground, in an accepted manner concurrent with industry and Cleveland Utilities’ standards
- Carry out the performance of the job utilizing all required safety procedures and equipment
- Perform energized and de-energized line work utilizing ladders, climbing tools and/or aerial lift trucks
- Train and instruct apprentice linemen in duties they are to perform
- Ensure tools and equipment are in safe working condition and well maintained
- Perform on-call standby duties as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by Working Line Foreman/Supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Experience as a Journeyman Lineman preferred
- Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Completion of a certified lineman apprenticeship program with copies of completion certificates
- Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License
- Physical ability to climb and do heavy manual work
