TVPPA’s Education & Training (E&T) department recently partnered with East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) on a new training center in Mayhew, Miss.
This new center expands EMCC’s existing pre-apprentice lineworker training program by offering next-step technical classes through our E&T program.
“This partnership is a great opportunity for our members in and around North Mississippi,” said Caleb Hall, Director, Education & Training. “We’re excited about broadening the overall accessibility of our training programs through these regional hubs.”
The first class offered at EMCC will be the Lineman Apprenticeship Lab 1, Fundamentals on May 20. Register for this class and future classes by logging into the Public Power Academy at tvppa.com/training or emailing Kaitlin Plaster, Education & Training Specialist.
With the addition of the Northeast Mississippi hub and a Southeastern hub in its final stages, we will soon offer technical training in each of the Tennessee Valley’s seven districts.
