Southwest Tennessee EMC is looking for a Vice President of Engineering. This position is being offered Internally and Externally.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Ensure within budgetary and other limits, the best possible electric service to the members through effective planning and efficient use of all available engineering and technical resources. Recommends use of Cooperative’s capital resources through effective study and evaluation of power system and information system performance. Such recommendation are made utilizing sound engineering design as well as current industry best practices. Will also ensure Cooperative’s existing power system is maintained, and replacements recommended as needed to continue delivering the highest level of service to both the Cooperative’s members and employees. General duties will include project management, training and safety, study and research, team leadership and support in the following areas of engineering: Planning and Design, Substation and Metering, Dispatching and outage reporting, underground utility locating, economic and community development, industrial and large commercial recruitment.

REQUIREMENTS:

A B.S. in Engineering (Electrical Preferred), Professional Engineer License, Minimum 5-years’ experience is required and Master of Science or Master of Business preferred.
